I have had the pleasure of knowing Sandy Allen-Kearney for almost eight months now. She is an awesome person. Everything she does, she does so with so much enthusiasm and with a smile on her face. While other teachers give simple assignments and ask for results, Mrs. Kearney will not only teach the material, but help you understand. Every step of the way she goes into deep detail and examples to help you firmly grasp the subject. And looking at my two passing AP exams scores, I can guarantee you this woman can teach and make sure you succeed in class. I did.
It takes more than a person standing and reading to teach, it takes passion. I recall in high school how she always had hour long power point presentations ready for class every day, power points that she fine tuned the night before, after grading over a hundred papers from her seven classes. Then, in class, making sure the class understood each slide before pressing on. I attribute my new-found interest in literature to her, and recommend her to anyone needing tutoring in any of her respectable fields.
